It did not correspond with my previous experiences on the Ponca run. After I took a break from the rain, ate and had a shot, the air space was about nil. Some fabulous water falls along this stretch. There is water, but it is 18" below the bridge. Ozark pages gs reads over 3'.

The lower Buffalo is slow and shallow this time of year, but the scenery is pretty good. I still enjoy making a lazy day of it--usually by myself---in the summer. My responsibilities are very limited during those times...quite enjoyable.

Jim's Razorback Pizza has (or at least used to have) a room that is separated from the rest of the resturant that is available for groups. when a group that I belonged to used it, there was not a charge. I think there was an article on that in a recent Paddler magizine. It was not white water, but did have its risks and thrills.

Herbicide treatment is the cheapest way to clear the power lines. As to an herbicide's danger--it depends on what the herbicide is, if it is being used properly and if the applicator knows what he/she is doing. Bannanas are sprayed 50 times a year. There is a catolog that sells a set-up for attaching a camera to a helmet--either NRS or Piragis (sp?). Or, you can ask Chester! Or---use screws and duct tape. Duct tape holds just about everything. I used to use it on my teenage kids!
