First Call for WW School River Staff Volunteers

It's that time again! The 2010 (35th Annual) ACC School of WW Paddling (a/k/a Canoe School) is the weekend of April 30 to May 2. The volunteer Commitments over the next few weeks will set the number and type of classes that we can offer this year so we need to have the staff lined up by the 1st of M...

Fish, I'm so sorry that you've had to deal with this kind of frustration and hassle. I know that you went the extra mile and made the right call. Thanks for everything you do!

Re: One week until canoe school.

James Smith had something come up this week and won't be able to teach this year, so there will be some shuffling. We have plenty of instructional staff, so it won't be a problem. Also there may be some shuffling of assists and sweeps too. Most instructors should have contacted their classes by now ...

Re: Big Piney and Dierks questions...

The Piney should still be at a decent level for teaching beginners this weekend, especially Saturday. There will be some slow long pools but no gorilla crawl or still water. But there will still be some really great places to work on ferries, eddy turns, peel-outs, and easy surfs and some of the rap...

Last Minute Kayak Instructor Ed. Opportunities

We've had some folks that had to drop out of the kayak ACA instructor certification class scheduled for this spring and have some last minute spaces available. The class will be at the whitewater level (ACA Level 4) and certifies the instructor to teach on class II-III water. Gordon Black will be th...

Re: I.R. versus Kokatat versus others

I've had IR drytops (not so dry) and Kokatat drytops and Kokatat drysuits. All I can say is that Renee is right! I love some of the other IR products, but not their drytops! I hate that because the IR tops are always the prettiest and have the best colors, but on a cold day I'd much rather by drab a...

The Education Committee is making plans for ACA instructor certification classes for canoe and kayak this spring. Both classes will be at the whitewater level (ACA Level 4). Gordon Black will be the instructor trainer for the kayak class and Sam Fowlkes will be the IT for the canoe class. The IDW (I...

Re: "Divorce Boat" for Jessica and Sean

Thanks, Debbie for making it easy for procrastinators like the Tuckers. We're in. I told Don he should hire you as his ad man. Best of luck and lots of love to Jessica and Sean. With a tandem canoe, you'll need plenty of both! Just ask this guy http://www.arkansascanoeclub.com/mb/viewtopic.php?f=1&a...

Dave or T,

I'm making the registration sheets for the mini clinics. Do we have the details on T.'s class -- time & place?

Thanks!
