Re: Buffalo River Rush to Shipps
Looks like the guys covered the river portion of the trip but didn't touch on your hotel for the night before the launch. Two closest hotels to the Hwy 14 bridge/Rush area will be either in Yellville (about 15 miles north from bridge) which is the Marion-Carlton Inn (866-945-7678) or the Marshall Mo...

Re: What is the value of my canoe?
Pretty much what Byron said in his post but a bit more is that right now Royalex is a dead product so it's pretty much what the market dictates. I've seen boats worth maybe $400 go for $1000 because of the manufacturer, boat, and maybe condition (didn't see it in person). If the boat is in exception...

Re: Looking for partners
Don't know if you do the FaceBook thing or not, but if you do go the ACC FB page. Might get some more interest over there. That is if you haven't already done it.

Re: Buffalo River - Rush to White River
Here's a link to get your levels and floating conditions. There is usually enough water to get down this section year round (even in the dry summer). Be advised that if the CoE is generating at Bullshoals/Norfork then you might not be able to access the take-out at Buffalo City on the White and need...

Re: Helton's Farm Big Piney access?
Just pull up Treat, Arkansas. Should be able to locate it from there. Fenced field with access to creek across from the house should make it easy to find.

Re: any members ordained?
Larry Crane, Rick Ramsey, and Byron Eubanks are. Think there might be a few others that I’m not aware of that have the creds.
Hope you get your permits approved! Great place to start a partnership!! Good luck!

Re: Prescribed or natural burns along Buffalo
There is a natural burn area located in the northeast area located beginning where Hwys. 21 and 43 intersect at Boxley. Don't remember exactly how far down it came the mountain but I remember people worrying about the valley getting hit. About giving up their spots, all you will hear on this board i...

Re: Solo seat mounting for Blue Hole Sunburst ll
Your Sunburst is more a whitewater boat than a flatwater canoe. Not saying that it can be paddled on flatwater. Looks like the Perception saddle with its seat/thighbrace design is what you would want to go with. Came in handy when I used my Whitesell Pyrahana on a western river trip where we had som...

Re: Solo seat mounting for Blue Hole Sunburst ll
When exactly are you going to paddle 7 hours straight while kneeling?
Best bet is to find an old Perception seat/saddle (rotomolded) and swap out your foam one for lt.

Re: BLUE HOLE CANOE OCA FOR SALE
That would be me!!! Bought the boat "new" from BOC in either 1981 or 1982 for the aforementioned $800 (boats sere selling for $900 at the time). Mike had just added it to his fleet and it had only been used 2-3 times. I was living in Brandon, Ms at the time. Rivers that it has been on incl...

Re: BLUE HOLE CANOE OCA FOR SALE
Interesting. That boat looks like my first OCA I purchased as used from BOC!!! Got the same seats as the one I had. Plus that little dent in the gunwale just in back of the bow seat looks similar to the one I put on it when I pinned mine at Keyhole on Sec. III of the Chattooga many years ago!!! Sort...

Second generation Blackfly Option FS/SOLD
Was the bastard of that year's production as it was the last one available on the trailer at ALF that year (2012?). Scroll down to get the story on it. Boat has usual river rash but has been treated gently and has only one tiny "gash" in the hull. Minimal adjustments in the factory saddle ...

Re: Illinois bayou
You might be able to get down with some scraping if you put it in at the first bridge north of Hector and float down to the Scottsville bridge located north of Scottsville on Hwy 164. It's mostly flatwater and you will do a lot of paddling since the current will minimal. Fishing will help pass the t...
