Re: Cadron Water Level Ranges
Cadron will be getting a big push today but to answer the original question most people would consider 1.8 too low. There are a lot on long pools so you can make it down at this level and a bit lower. Just allow extra time and be prepared to paint some rocks with the bottom of your boat and occasion...

Cadron Strainer
At the approach of Daddy's knee (where river pours straight into small bluff about a mile above 65 take out) there is a pretty large natural debris pile on river left where current wants to send you that could cause trouble for less experienced boaters. At low water levels it is tough to get around ...

Drysuit Gasket Repair
After 6 or 7 years one of my gaskets finally gave out on my dry suit. Glad it wasn't a really cold float. Hoping someone can give me recs on where to get these repaired. Ideal would be to find someone good in LR or Conway that could replace them locally. Second best would be to find a reputable onli...

Re: Input requested: 10 Commandments of Paddling
Here are some others that have been born out from my personal journey at the river of hard knocks. Consult a solunar calendar before you put on water for floats starting after lunch. If you paddle with gloves, check to make sure you have a L and a R and not two of the same. Secure your skirt BEFORE ...

Re: Any interest ??? Hendrix pool in Conway.
I could help at UCA from time to time. I could not break down all the variants of a roll like Cowper but could help people get started in the right direction.

Re: 10/12 Paddling
I will be watching for trips Sunday. Since it has been about 6 months since my boat touched moving water, IL Bayou, Cadron, Piney might be more my speed though.

Re: Can someone School me on Cadron Creek
The recommended levels are 2 - 5 feet with less than 2.5 getting bony and when you get near 5 or a little past the play features are washed out. I floated the CCO to 65 section about 10 days ago and there was no wood to speak of that required serious attention. Pretty good chance it will be a good f...
