WTB Creek Boat, Momba, Zen look appealing!

Paddled with some folks today in Momba's and thought the 7'6" model would be a fun addition to the fleet. I weigh in at 187 so might be at the upper limit of weight range, but have spent most my life there as I'm above average! I'm paddling a wavesport EZ right now so the lower volume Mo...

Re: Debo help

I want to see the authorities research the deep well option in the Arkansas River valley. Seems like a great option to me.

Isn't there a municipality in central Arkansas that has developed this option?

Re: REGISTRATION FOR 2015 SWWP KAYAK IS CLOSED

Just curious what the numbers look like!? How many total students, total instructors, canoe classes, kayak classes, etc.? Looking forward to my 18th year as an instructor and 20th years as a participant. I was a student for two years before getting involved in the process. Oh, what a trip it has been...

Re: Little Rock information

Visit Hot Springs, go to the races, hike the trails, (Gulpha Creek?), dance in the lobby of the Arlington. Visit North Little Rock Argenta district, ride the trolley, catch some music. Definitely paddle Rockport. Buffalo Valley, especially the hike at Lost Valley. Altus wine country!!! Post, Wiedekh...

Bridge over Spirits is Open!

Took a drive last night and was very, very pleased to see that the bridge over Spirit's Creek is now open. It has been closed for almost a full year which has made it very problematic to run the lower end of the Muleberry! Seems like it was the weekend of SWWP (Canoe School, TEFKACS) when it closed ...

Re: RIP Bob Stout

Bob was always helpful to Cindy and I at Rendezvous. He would volunteer to run the Rendezvous store. I think Carly even called him Papa! Gordon will remember for sure, but, I think Bob build the great squirrel cage tumbler for the raffle tickets. We should all live our lives in such a graceful fashi...

Re: KFSM Chan 5 story about Fishers Ford

I think the lesson here is to take the value, accuracy and depth of research examples from this one news story and then project the same levels to everything else they report on. Remember that when you watch the local news. Unfortunately our local news market seems to be a first stop for new 'talent...

Re: ACC Winter Board Meeting Feb. 21, 2015

There was a pit toilet at Campbell's but it had to be removed and replaced. Replacement part is awaiting funding. Forest Service Ranger Dunk is open to partnering with the ACC to see if it can be expedited. We partnered with the Cossatot rangers on the facilities at the Tot years ago. I'm hoping we ...

Any discussion regarding partnering with the Forest Service to build a pit toilet at Campbell's Cemetery?

Thanks!

Re: 24th Annual Mulberry River Spring Clean Up Day

It would be great to see a rejuvinated level of participation from the ACC in this annual event. Turner Bend has been the home of our annual whitewater school for, well, pretty much forever. And, Brad and his family and crew have been our most generous hosts. If you live in the vicinity and can make...

Re: Spirits Creek Bridge - Status?

E-mailed my question to the FS and received this reply: Dave, no projections yet on the opening of spirits creek bridge. Still waiting on some braces to be put in by another contractor. When it is reopened, we will let the public know. Thanks. Confirms what KRU is reporting. Sounds like they are upg...

Spirits Creek Bridge - Status?

Drove up there on the opening weekend of deer season and the bridge was still closed. Work appeared to be complete but bridge was blocked by large boulders.

Anyone been up there lately to see if the road has been reopened? Any word on plans to reopen if still closed?

Do not leave the shuttle vehicle keys at the put in! :NoNo: Do not take anything on the trip that you can't live without! (Wallet, Purse, Camera, Jewelry) Let someone know where you are going and when you expect to return! Never boat alone, always have three people. If someone gets hurt there will b...
