Does the boat have a little bit of rocker

E&S cloth (Blackhawk canoe's silver layup) is fiberglass, in a combination of 4 different weights & weaves.

Their gold layup is a combination of kevlar, fiberglass & graphite.

Hulls made of both layups are protected by a gel coat which provides color, abrasion resistance, and UV protection.

I can't quote exact numbers on the amount of rocker, as I have never seen specs on that. I would guesstimate an inch, or an inch & a half "at most".
Blackhawk Shadow models utilize a continuous flared/modified V hull shape.
If you are seeking a whitewater solo; this is not it.
It is capable on class 1 & 2, as stated previously.
It gets up to speed quickly, and requires little effort to maintain speed.
It has a low profile & is not much affected by wind.

P.S. The Mohawk Solo 14 in Royalite is yet another example of a boat that is similiar in specs & weight to the Shadow 14.6.

Lots of lookers; I'm betting some have looked multiple times......
Thinking about it, but can't quite "pull the trigger"?

I need to move this canoe out of my garage; I need the rack it's sitting on for a recently purchased kevlar, Bell Wildfire.

I'm going to sweeten the deal with a brand new, bent shaft, canoe paddle.
It'll be a pleasure to use this paddle with the Shadow:

Bending Branches Special
Bent shaft with Rockgard tip on the blade
Retails L.L. Bean for $79.00, plus shipping
Size: 56 inches

P.S. Wildfire NOT for sale.

The Shadow solo is still for sale.
Buyer didn't want to pay full amount in cash & canoe offered as part trade was not as described.

The new, wood, Bending Branches bent shaft paddle(about 79 bucks retail) is still included in the deal, and I have lowered the cash price of the deal to $700.00.

Photos & specs available in previous posts.

Canoe was sold the same year it was offered for sale.

If you have a particular size canoe you are seeking, feel free to contact me via email.
I have multiple solo canoes that are for sale, but am tentatively waiting until spring to list them.
Specs, photos, asking prices can be provided.

Chuck; canoes for sale................

Post by thebob.com » Fri May 22, 2020 8:07 am

Chuck, I have several solo canoes currently for sale; recreational and whitewater solos.
Haven't posted any of them for sale as yet.

Might be a long drive for you to view or test paddle any of them; it appears you are in Michigan?
I am in south central Missouri, with no plans to travel that far to sell a canoe.
Want more information; send me a private message..............
