October Buffalo Trip Planning

Next month will be the 30th anniversary of a canoe trip from Buffalo Point to the White River with a small group of friends. I believe we paddled 4 days and camped 3 nights. I'm beginning to plan a return trip for October and hope to spend 5-6 days on the river. I'll be joined by a friend who, like me, has been backpacking/canoeing/kayaking since the 70's and would appreciate tips for launch & take out sites, shuttle providers for our 2 kayaks, and fishing tips. I recall catching a few small mouths on my previous trip, but specific memories are long gone now. Many thanks in advance for any information/suggestions you can share!
