Here's a little video of TRT in action on Little Maumelle Creek.

Pretty good fun; I'm glad you captured some of it on video!

So much for swimming in the Mississippi.

Mary and I hauled out several more bags of trash from Beaver lake while paddleing today. Filled her boat completely and I tied a large garbage bag stuffed to bursting on the back of mine, when my hatches were full. Boats were heavy on the way home and higher winds.

Highlight of day was watching 4 kit foxes for 20 minutes from less than 30 feet away.

May go out again Sunday or Monday Thinking of y'all. Liked the Video.

Good job, Eric!

Here's our latest recruit, Zaria, with stuff she and her dad (YarTheBug) brought downriver at the Saline River Race today (probably cost them significantly on finishing time):

I'm not sure if I qualify for membership or not, but I'd like to throw my hat into the ring for membership in TRT. I can provide a few examples of impromptue trash runs that I've participated in. My favorite was the water heater balanced on the thwarts of a rented Buffalo canoe on the Buffy in 15-20 mph winds.

Hey Cowper. You need to check out the Dragover takeout, large tree you will never be able to tackle and cut away. :poke2: We had to duck to get boats and ourselves under it last time we were there. I'm saying this one would be a really tough job for you.

Here is some shots of the dragover I mentioned. You will see one of the tree but there were some distractions so don't mind them. You will get an idea of just how tough this would be for you Cowper. :box:

Oh and few pics of the road Jim Krueger took trying to show how bad the road in is, deep ruts and holes, very hard to navigate. The county or whoever is in charge needs to get on it and fix the road. Would take someone really good to get rid of that tree.

DeBo and I made it out to Little Maumelle again today. Got a good reminder of why abandoned fishing line is one of the more important types of litter to go after…

Also got a couple more tires, and some doors off a dorm-room size refrigerator.

And yes, Jon, carrying out a water heater qualifies you!

Karla, it is TRASH Removal Team, not TREE Removal Team! :poke:

Guess I posted wrong forum. :poke2: Just wanted you to see the tree and try to keep your eyes off the scenery. :poke2:

TRT does not sanction the actions of a certain splinter cell that goes around chainsawing poor defenseless river obstructions, Karla.

We do appreciate when those river obstructions magically disappear though. .

Really? That's all you've got? (the only way it could be easier was if it was already sitting on saw horses...)

Besides; TRT has consulted our environmental specialists and determined that the tree is serving a valid purpose by keeping wheeled vehicles out of the river corridor. Duck and go under!
