Falling waters landslide

Post by Bad Andy » Wed Mar 24, 2010 11:21 am

Is the landslide on Falling Waters road north or south of FS road 1219? What I need to know is can I get to Richland Creek campground from Witts Springs via FS 1219? I have not been there since the landslide and trying to figure out a way in from the north (Yellville). Thanks.

Cowper posted in a previous thread that the slide is about 1.5 miles from the campground so I believe that the route you talk about will still be a dead-end.

It was still blocked as of November of last year. I'd bet they haven't repaired it yet. The slide is very close to the Campground - maybe just a mile and a half or two. I'm pretty sure it would block you coming in from Witts Spring, unless you know of a 4WD road I don't.
