Re: GRUMMAN CANOE INTERNAL REPAIR RIBS

Hi folks. Thought I better update the inventory from the CCB stuff. All the canoe ribs are now gone, as are the old thigh hooks. The 1.7 skirts are still here, but deteriorating with the storage years. I do still have several of the 7-10' long Wilderness Systems spray skirts for the recreational kay...

Re: GRUMMAN CANOE INTERNAL REPAIR RIBS

Randy, I sold the entire enchilada to a guy named John Hecht in Louisiana. If you know him, he might be willing to part with some of them. I have ONE generic aluminum rib for anon-specific aluminum canoe with no holes drilled in it. Not sure who made it or for what size canoe, but I'd let it go. Nex...

Wes, the deck plates llikely came off an old town, but the shape is very similar. I'll round up what I have. Did you only need one pair??

Re: MAD RIVER OUTRAGE X SOLO CANOE EX. COND.

mobbq: The person above from CO has had a real busy schedule with a son in wrestling at school right now and I haven't heard anything yet. Last I heard, we were working on plans to ship it, but no money has changed hands. Long Story short, it's still for sale. As far as shipping goes, I feel comfort...

Re: MAD RIVER OUTRAGE X SOLO CANOE EX. COND.

: I figured you hadn't fallen off the face of the earth, but work does get in the way of paddling every once in a while. Any further communication we can do via email and not waste ACC's bandwidth.

Thanks

Re: MAD RIVER OUTRAGE X SOLO CANOE EX. COND.

Lynne, I'll call you tomorrow. Monday will be the last good day here in IOwa to take photos of the boat. I have some buried in the hard drive, but finding them would be a real trip. If things work out, I could maybe meet with you in Omaha if that would get you out and back in a long day rather than ...

NOS EXTRASPORT DOG PFD

In addition to the other CCB stuff, I found a new old stock Extrasport dog PFD fora dog with a chest circumference of roughly 24". It's never been used, but out of its original package. The fastex buckles adjust to the dog's size. The colors are a bright yellow and red, so it's got visibility t...

Re: What's the Coldest Weather you Paddled?

In early spring of 1977, a co-worker and I rented a Blue Hole from Ozark Outdoor supply and took it up to the Cadron. The water level was adequate, but the water and air were cold. We had dry clothes and food and a thermos and sure enough a mile or two downstream ofthe Hwy 65 put in, we hit a hidden...

GRUMMAN CANOE INTERNAL REPAIR RIBS

I've got quite a handful of leftover items from the Chicagoland Canoe Base inventory closeout last year. Included are a stash of NOS Grumman canoe ribs in case you have wrapped you old alumilux around a rock or something else tragic has happened to the hull. There's like 10 center ribs for the 17' m...

MAD RIVER OUTRAGE X SOLO CANOE EX. COND.

Hi all, Don't post much anymore but I sold my royalex Outrage X to a local gal up here in Iowa and she has now decided that she wants a Bell Dragonfly instead(either composite or plastic). SO, I'll post this boat here , but realize the boat is sitting in my back yard in NE Iowa!! The "X" i...

Re: What's the Coldest Weather you Paddled?

For me personally, it was a canoe trip we took down the Upper Cadron Creek back in January of197 I think. It was a few inches of snow and 18 F. Wanted to photograph the frozen ice bluffs on that stretch of river. Got like two shots from my Olympus OM-1 35mm and the moisture from my nostrils froze th...

Re: Cossatot Maiden Voyage

Dave: Hope you're still on the mend my man. Even better if you are back to semi-full function! I don't remember who organized those rodeos(Randy Jackson maybe?? Dave Reid??), but I do remember Bob McDonnough leaving rather disgruntled when a local Texas paddler beat the big boys. It was either Wade ...
